The reminder you received was written in PocketLedger, a small Android app for keeping track of credit given and payments received. The person who sent it adds a customer, logs what was taken on credit and what has been paid back, and the balance is worked out from there. When it is time to ask, the app opens WhatsApp or SMS with the message already written.
